Abstract:	This is the third re-devised, researched and re-written iteration of A gift for Eleonora. Private view for the Duke of Devonshire at Chatsworth and different to the public performance in the Victorian Theatre at Chatsworth, as part of the Art Out Loud Festival, 2016. This site-specific performance was re-devised and re-written using five rooms in Chatsworth, which included The Painted Hall, The Grotto, The Chapel Corridor, The Oak Room and The Chapel. In this specially commissioned performance, I took these site-specifics and chose relevant artworks (including Michael Craig-Martin’s Digital Portrait of Lady Burlington; Damian Hurst’s ‘Saint Bartholomew: Exquisite Pain’; Tintoretto’s ‘Samson & Delilah’ painting, Edmund de Waal’s ‘Sounding Line’), as well as Bess of Hardwick (1527-1608) as new departures for the re-devising, research, creation and making of this new iteration. It was performed to the Duke of Devonshire’s guests, including family, sponsors (Sothebys) and speakers from the Art Out Loud Festival, 2016. Platform Event: 'Masters made Modern: Difficult Art' followed in The Chapel with Rachel Campbell-Johnston, Chief Art Critic, The Times, Julia Peyton-Jones, Director of the Serpentine Galleries (1991-2016), Alison Oddey, Writer, Performer, Academic and Maria Balshaw, Director of Tate Modern (formerly Director of The Whitworth Gallery, Manchester).
