Abstract
In this article I explore the notion of narrative triangles (the fusion of three different genres) through the study of two important contemporary works: Anatomía de un instante, by Javier Cercas, and the French novel HHhH, by Laurent Binet. I show how contemporary writers are creating a specific type of novel through the combination of different narrative genres, each of which potentially keeps its original function as, in these particular cases, a novel, a historiographical work and an essay.
En este artículo exploro la noción de triángulos narrativos (la unión de tres géneros diferentes) a través del estudio de dos obras contemporáneas relevantes: Anatomía de un instante, de Javier Cercas, y la novela francesa HHhH, de Laurent Binet. El objetivo es mostrar cómo los escritores actuales están creando un modelo específico de novela mediante la combinatoria de varios géneros narrativos, cada uno de los cuales conserva potencialmente su función original, en estos casos concretos, como novela, como trabajo historiográfico y como ensayo.
