| Description: | Syson Gallery hosted Nine Painters, curated by Richard Davey, which comprised recent work by Gabriella Boyd, Sean Cummins, Richard Kenton Webb, Selma Parlour, Stephen Chambers, Mali Morris, Steph Goodger, Eleanor Bartlett, Michael Simpson. This broad survey of painters was compiled by recent John Moores Painting Prize judge, Richard Davey, and spans work by Royal Academicians to more recently emerging artists in the field. With a considered look at the raw ingredients of painting, this exhibition unashamedly embraced a passion in materials and mark making - evoking landscape and line from colour, pattern and form [Syson Gallery website]. |
