Abstract: | Participants will be led together on an accessible and immersive sound walk through Nine Elms, from the riverside at St George’s Wharf, past the new U.S. Embassy and other developments, concluding in the back streets of the Savona Estate. Andrew Brown has devised soundwalks in various cities, drawing upon the specificities of each and using sound as a means of exploring sites and exposing layers of memory and meaning. Within the augmented reality of the soundwalk opportunities are created for personal speculation on place, time and the processes of change. |
Description: | A live event in the form of a soundwalk. Originally commissioned by curator Rosie Hermon for Winter Trails: Remapping Nine Elms festival. |
