Abstract

A 'White Paper' and consultation issued by the Home Office in May 2022, covers a package of proposals for the reform of fire and rescue services in England. The proposals cover three principal areas of the reform vision: People, Professionalism and Governance. Views were sought on the specific proposals and the wider package of reforms presented.

The following draft response was prepared, uploaded onto the intranet and circulated to all members of the Fire Sector Federation to help them, individually and collectively, in responding to the White Paper.
