Abstract

The study was commissioned by the Home Office to examine and evaluate the approaches to measuring productivity of Fire and Rescue Services (FRSs) in England. To select the best feasible approach available or developable at present and calculate a productivity metric for English FRSs. They were also asked to provide recommendations for how to reach an improved, "ideal" metric in the future.

The NBS contribution critiqued the draft report and suggested amendments and corrections.
