Abstract

This note responds to research questions identified in recent dialogue between NTU researchers and policy advisors and analysts at DCMS. Specifically, it addresses the relationship between funding structure and organisational resilience. This paper also serves a secondary purpose in demonstrating the scope to produce bespoke, policy relevant analysis from data generated by the VCSE Barometer Survey that is of interest to DCMS and other stakeholders within the sector.

In this note, the relationship between organisation funding structure and organisations’ belief that they will still be operating next year is examined.

We conclude with some suggestions for further research to better understand the nature and consequences of changing patterns of funding within the sector.
