Abstract

This paper discusses information extraction from traffic images. The images have been provided for monitoring purposes by humans, but we consider how we can utilise them by automatic monitoring. By using automatic processing, further processing can be developed which humans cannot achieve satisfactorily. The transition of traffic amount is a good example of this possibility. Algorithms for detecting running cars and parking cars are shown
