Abstract
Governance comprises the arrangements put in place to ensure that the intended outcomes for stakeholders are defined and achieved. The IFCA provides the International Framework Good Governance in the Public Sector (2014) and Solace/CIPFA provides its domestic application in “Delivering Good Governance in Local Government” Framework. (Solace/CIPFA 2016). This presentation looks at how models of Governance for Fire and Rescue Services, differ across Northern Ireland, Scotland , Wales and England and particularly within England. It evaluates these models against each other and acknowledged good practice represented in the Good Governance Framework.
