Abstract

A system, apparatus and marker for assessing athletic performance of an athlete is provided. The system comprises an image capturer configured to capture a plurality of images of the athlete performing a test; and an image analyser configured to analyse the captured images and derive an athletic performance score for the test. The apparatus comprises an image capturer mounting portion operable to retain the image capturer; and at least one piece of sporting equipment for the performance of a test. The piece of sporting equipment is operatively coupled to the image capturer support so that it is retained at a fixed distance from the image capturer. The marker is attachable to a body part of an athlete, and comprises a reflective portion arranged to reflect infrared light.
