Abstract

Panel discussion for the NTU IKEP Conference 2024 about the knowledge exchange practice-based project 'Accessibility and Art: Innovative Audio Description for Contemporary Art' being undertaken by staff member from Nottingham School of Art & Design (NSAD) with external partners Nottingham Contemporary and My Sight Nottinghamshire (regional charity for people with sight loss). The project explores processes and outcomes towards innovative, creative, and experimental forms of audio description developed through co-creative knowledge exchange practices informed by experiential interpretation and principles of radical inclusion. The panel includes: Kevin Hunt and Fo Hamblin (NTU Project Leads), Owen Baxter (NTU Sound Engineer), Michael Conroy (CEO My Sight Nottinghamshire), Holly Tea (Nottingham Contemporary, Communities Programmer), Rob Allcock (My Sight Nottinghamshire, Service User).
