Abstract
"Confluence of Influence, and the Struggle of Differentiation" is a language-based artistic research contribution to a publication, based on my involvement as an invited guest in the PEEK funded project Contingent Agencies. The contribution comprises distilled extracts of text generated through different practices of “live writing” and “voicing observation.” This contribution consists of two parts: (Part 1) An online exposition [available here—https://www.researchcatalogue.net/view/1932579/1932580]: presenting the original artifacts that were generated live during involvement in the project, conceived as time-based experimental assemblages comprising a simultaneity of unfolding texts (both voiced and typed), alongside other forms of visual, lens-based notation—multimodal, polyfocal, polyvocal, non-linear, cyclical, looping. (Part 2) Published in this book: textual fragments (transcribed and distilled from the original time-based artifacts) are reworked for the spatial parameters of page (whilst remaining attentive to the challenge inherent within this act of translation), presented with adjacent “asides,” notebook reflections and references that were occurring parallel to the practices.
