Abstract

Local Public Audit is critical for accountability and transparency in public services, Yet as devolution and local government reorganization dominate the political agenda, detailed scrutiny of local public audit proposals risks being sidelined. Without rigorous audits, public trust and financial integrity will be severely weakened. It should not be allowed to happen.
