Abstract

This interactive event is aimed at senior academic leaders, staff developers, and professional services colleagues involved in supporting staff to develop their scholarship. It responds to a recognised sector-wide challenge: the lack of clear, practical guidance on building scholarship identities, advancing scholarship expertise, as well as supporting career progression on the education-focused track.

Through our research, we have developed the DARSHE (descriptions of activity related to scholarship of higher education) model, a flexible, evidence-informed tool that enables staff engaged with teaching and supporting learning, and educational and academic developers to map, reflect on, and articulate their scholarship journey. It moves beyond comparisons with traditional research pathways and instead offers a distinct, inclusive framework grounded in educational scholarship literature.
